Wing Commander Kapil Rao Tantla (Retd) concluded his role in the Indian Air Force on 13 April 2023. He served as Head of the Department of Psychology (Senior Psychologist Assessor) at No. 3 AFSB Gandhinagar and Psychologist Assessor at No. 2 AFSB Mysore. Certified in human behaviour analysis by DIPR, DRDO, he holds 10+ years of SSB Selection System expertise.
Starting his IAF journey in 1999 after graduating BE (Electronics) from Shivaji University, he was awarded “Best Passing Out Officer” at AFA Hyderabad (2000) and “Chief of Air Staff Medal” at AFTC Bangalore (2001) by Air Chief Marshal A.Y. Tipnis.
He has extensive training in Cyber Security, Information Warfare, SAM Systems, ALH, and Support Systems for Flying Ops. He earned multiple degrees including MBA (Award of Excellence at UPES), PG in Human Behaviour (XLRI Jamshedpur), and Law Degree.
During his SSB tenure, he assessed candidates at AFSB Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, Varanasi & Guwahati. His expertise includes TAT, WAT, SRT, interview techniques, and leadership assessments for Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard & DRDO.
Group Captain A.K. Sharma (Retd) served 35+ years in the Indian Air Force, participating in major operations such as Operation Vijay (1999) and Op Prakram. A skilled pilot of Chetak/Cheetah and Mi-17 aircrafts, he also holds MSc (Defence Studies), MSc (Military Psychology), MBA, LLB, & BSc degrees.
He supervised Anti-Naxal Operations at Jagdalpur as Detachment Commander and commanded an Air NCC Squadron. As DIPR Certified Assessor at SSB Varanasi, he evaluated 4500+ candidates including PABT & CPSS aspirants.
With vast experience in personality evaluation and training, he has conducted numerous HRD and NCC leadership development programs, guiding aspirants toward Armed Forces officer roles.
Group Captain H.S. Chauhan (Retd.), a decorated Helicopter Pilot with 3360+ flying hours, served during critical missions including the Kargil Conflict. A DIPR-qualified GTO, he played a pivotal role in modernising IAF selection techniques.
As Senior GTO at AFSB Dehradun & Gandhinagar, he shaped future IAF officers by designing rigorous leadership, teamwork, and stress-management evaluations. He also led NCC Air Squadrons and introduced advanced drone jammer operations.
Lt Col Davender Mor (Retd.), GTO at 17 SSB Bangalore, evaluated 7000 Stage-I and 2000 GTO candidates. He was deeply involved in the De-Novo Selection System under trial and worked on upgrading Group Testing techniques.
Commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery (2000), he later became Combat Helicopter Pilot, flying across all terrains. He also holds MBA (HR & SCM), BA-LLB, commercial pilot licence, and 2000+ flying hours.
